Why Supercharging Matters
Tesla Superchargers deliver significantly faster charging compared to standard EV options. Superchargers can add hundreds of miles of range in the time it takes to grab a coffee, making them ideal for road trips, tight schedules, or quick top-ups during island exploration.
Charger Type | Speed Estimate | Best For |
---|---|---|
Level 1 (120v) | 3–5 miles of range per hour | Home overnight charging |
Level 2 (240v) | 15–30 miles per hour | Public lots and businesses |
Supercharger | Up to 200+ miles in ~20 mins | Long-distance or fast top-ups |
With limited fast-charging options currently available on Maui, this new Supercharger station will help close the gap. Maui’s existing fast-charging stations are often slower, fewer in number, and more congested. Supercharging provides a high-speed, reliable alternative that makes it easier for drivers to explore the island with confidence and peace of mind. Whether you’re renting a Tesla or driving your own, you’ll enjoy more freedom and peace of mind.

The new Tesla Supercharger in Maui will be located at 155 Pakaula Street, Kahului, approximately 10 minutes from Kahului Airport (OGG) and close to popular local destinations like Costco, shops, and beaches. This makes it an ideal stop whether you’re just arriving on the island or preparing to head home.

Charging with Aloha: Supercharging Etiquette & Tips
Help keep Maui’s Supercharger site smooth, friendly, and efficient by following a few simple guidelines:
- Move your car when charging is done. Superchargers work quickly, and idle fees may apply after your session finishes.
- Avoid charging to 100% unless necessary. Charging slows significantly after 80%. Only charge to full if your trip requires it.
- Park centered and avoid blocking adjacent stalls. Make sure others can easily access the plug.
- Respect the queue. Use the first-come, first-served principle. A little patience and aloha go a long way.
- Do not unplug other vehicles. Even if charging is complete, only unplug if the owner has given permission.
The little things matter. At Maui EVs, we treat every guest and every mile with care and respect. Mahalo for charging with Aloha.
